Even though COVID shut down pretty much all possibilities of attending a Comic-Con in person, that didn’t stop them from being held virtually. This year, along with a virtual NYCC Funko announced they’d also be holding a virtual Funko lottery to give fans a chance to snag some of their most popular figures. Usually, Funko figures are sold on a first come first served basis, creating a mass influx of traffic to the Funko website. This year, participants were chosen through a lottery and were given a specific time slot to shop through this year’s exclusives.
We were given a 1 PM time slot, and within a half-hour time frame, we could purchase whatever Funko figs we wanted with a purchase limit of one per cart. Some of the most coveted figures were somehow already gone by the time we got there, but overall we were still able to get essentially everything that we wanted. There were a few Star Wars exclusives, as well as fan-favorite franchises that were must-haves. Here’s what we walked away with during our time on the site
