In The Future There Will Be Space Robots

General Motors and NASA.  Two massive companies that you might not expect to have worked together, but whose pasts have been surprisingly intertwined.  This time around, engineers from both companies teamed up to create Robonaut 2, a human-assisting robot that is being made to work side by side with our astronauts on various tasks.

These are some pretty amazing new machines that can articulate just like a human, can perform complex tasks with minimal direction, and only somewhat resemble something we’ve seen in a Star Wars movie or a Daft Punk music video.

So move over Asimo, there’s a new man-bot in town.  Look for these guys in the future.  A space themed future.
