Introducing The HTC Rhythm…..It’s Kind Of A Chick Phone
1 min readBy Rob Boggan
HTC is constantly looking to tap into previously neglected markets, and with the introduction of the HTC Rhyme they seem poised to go after a pretty huge demographic. The HTC Rhyme is the first HTC handset marketed mainly towards their female customer base. The Rhyme comes with pretty standard smartphone specs, with a 1 GHz processor, 5MP rear and VGA front cameras and 4GB of onboard storage, in addition to Android 2.3 and HTC’s Sense 3.0 UI. The real action is with the accessories made for the Rhyme. There’s the docking station that charges your phone and also turns it into an alarm clock/ media station, the case matching bluetooth headset, and the super chick item of the year, the “Charm”. The charm works by simply clipping to the outside of a users bag, and instead of having to dig down into the abyss that is a purse, the charm glows whenever there’s a phone call or text message. With the aid of an attached cord, users can then simply pull their Rhyme right out of their bag instead of rummaging through it, only to ultimately miss the call.
Pretty ingenious if you ask me, but don’t take my word for it, take a look at a few of the splash videos below, and also check out the full product page HERE.
