Sprint Announces HTC EVO 4G LTE

Fresh off their NYC press event, HTC and Sprint have a new addition to the HTC EVO family. The HTC EVO 4G LTE (say that 4 times fast….) packs a ton of upgrades and promises to be the biggest EVO yet. Not necessarily in terms of size, but definitely with what’s on board. Starting with a massive 4.7 inch display, 1.5 GHz dual core processor, and massive 2,000 mAh battery, the EVO 4G LTE definitely rock the sicks off any phone currently in Sprint’s lineup. Other features of note include Android 4.0, HD voice capabilities, BEATS audio, and a totally revamped camera system.
Just to touch on this new camera system, Sprint promises an experience unlike any other while using the EVO 4G LTE. Rather than have the user subjected to choosing photo or video mode, the shutter buttons are placed side by side for an enhanced experience. For example, while shooting a video you can now press the photo button to capture a still image while the camcorder continues to shoot video. Definitely sounds awesome, and I for one can’t wait to see how this pans out in actual real world use.
Pre-orders are slated to start on May 7th, with the release date to be determined later. With a price point of $199.99, the EVO 4G LTE falls right in line with the perfect pricing for a high end smartphone, and will definitely be more attractive to the buying public because of it.
