Injustice 2 Trailer Teases Upgradeable Fighters
1 min readInjustice: Gods Among Us was one of the hottest games out three short years ago. It combined Mortal Kombats fighting engine with your favorite DC heroes and villains to create a unique fighter, in a space that’d begun to lose its luster. Now, after several weeks of hype, and an unplanned leak from GameStop, Warner Bros. has confirmed the existence a long awaited sequel. Taking things a bit further, Warner Bros and Nether Realm Studios revealed an exceptional trailer to the follow up that looks like it’ll change things up once again.
The trailer starts in a dark hallway with a deep voice monologing about fighting. From there, we see Superman and Flash battling it out, only to be eventually joined by Batman, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman as the fight intensifies. One unique takeaway for the fight scene is every time someone got knocked down, they would get back up sporting a new addition to their super suit. This continues until everyone in sporting full blown Tony Starks-like power suits. Looks like all the fighters will be upgradeable by some recourse in the game, and something tells me that will definitely play into the DLC that’ll be offered after its release.
Check out the trailer below, and if it strikes your fancy, you can preorder Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 starting today. The game is slated for release in 2017.
