This Guy Makes A Compelling Comparison Between Facebook And The WWE

Ever wonder why you get so fed up and frustrated with Facebook? YouTuber Tanktronic had the same conundrum when he first had the thought of disconnecting his account. This is a thought that has often crossed my mind, and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t occur as often as I think about food. His argument is a compelling one, as he completely breaks down types of content, ads, things he has no interest in, etc…

His argument starts to shift a bit when he compares Facebook to the heavily scripted world of professional wrestling. Essentially stating that people have created an online persona, similar to the over-the-top characters found in WWE. In today’s world, it has become overly easy to lead a lifestyle of digital lies and become wrapped up in the perceived success of others. Much like it’s easy to suspend your disbelief while watching Stone Cole Steve Austin assault his boss, and face no repercussions whatsoever.
