Watch: Minnesota’s Ridiculous Game Winning TD Recreated In Tecmo Bowl
1 min readWatching Minnesota’s game winning touchdown last night was ridiculous enough as is. Now, retro gamers Tecmo Bowlers have gone through and recreated the 61-yard walk off TD in one of the most popular football games ever. For those of you who may have missed it, the Minnesota Viking’s Case Keenum connected with Stefon Diggs for the most insane touchdown passes ever seen.
Facing a 4th down, with :10 left on the clock, Case Keenum took the snap and droped back for a pass. Ideally, the Vikings only needed to get into field goal range, but this play was destined for much more. Keenum launched the ball upfield, Stefon Diggs leapt into the air and caught it, but there was a Saints defender right behind him. The Saints defender happened to be Rookie Safety Marcus Williams and in an effort to avoid a pass interference penalty, completely whiffed on a tackle. Diggs, knowing he was in the clear took off down the sideline and scored as time expired. It will go down as one of the craziest finishes in sports history, and as such will be the subject of plenty of “Top Play” lists for years to come. Check out the play in its Tecmo recreated glory!
