New Renders Showcase The OnePlus 7
1 min readIf these newly leaked renders are to be believed, the OnePlus 7 will be one of the hottest phones of 2019. OnePlus has been putting in major work to be recognized as one of the premier Android device manufacturer. Depending on who you listen to, some would even say it has even surpassed Google’s own Pixel branded devices in terms of overall quality. Either way, they have built a loyal following behind their products, and this new video render shows exactly why.
For starters, the new OnePlus is said to be completely bezel-less, running an edge to edge 6.5 inch display. Another huge noticeable difference within the OnePlus 7 render is the absence of the “tear drop” notch near the top of the display. The notch originally housed the front facing camera, but it appears that will now be moved to a motorized unit within the device. That’s right, the OnePlus 7 will reportedly feature an in display selfie camera that pops out when activated.
There’s some features carrying over, like the USB-C charging port, the notification slider, and the absence of a headphone jack. From what we saw in the renders, there didn’t appear to be a fingerprint reader anywhere on the outside of the device, which means they’ll most likely continue on with an in-display finger print reader.
We should know more about this upcoming release in July, so stay tuned for more news on the OnePlus 7.
