Here’s The First Look At Black Panther From Captain America: Civil War
1 min readEntertainment Weekly published a pretty in-depth preview of one of my favorite characters from the Marvel universe, Black Panther. Black Panther’s name in the universe is T’Challa, and he is the prince of a technologically advanced African nation called Wakanda. Wakanda is primarily known for its key export, Vibranium, which is what Cap’s shield and Black Panther’s suit is made from. Up until the big reveal of the Captain America: Civil War trailer last week, details on the character and his role in the film were kept relatively mum. Chad Boseman (Get On Up) is stepping into the role as Black Panther, and explains how the conflict presented in this story isn’t as simple as “picking a side.” Boseman said, “Ultimately some sides are taken, but I think the trick of the movie is for no one to be blindly following,” he says. “Everybody is actually on their own side, in truth.”
There’s a very big conflict in play here, and some of your favorite Marvel characters will be pit against each other. Everyone involved will have a common interest which is doing the right thing. Boseman says. “He’s not in any way unaware of how important his role and his position is. I think he’s very much aware of the responsibility.”
