A New ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Poster Emerges

There aren’t many things that truly excite me anymore. New phones, new shoes, and nerdy goodness are usually all solid, but those things debut just about every month anymore. So imagine my surprise when I happened upon some new Star Wars swag during an afternoon Twitter session. The poster itself is massive. Not in literal size, but rather in scale. This poster is really ambitious and it drives the narrative home that ‘The Last Jedi’ may very well be one of the franchises most important installments yet.

The Force Awakens left us all with one hell of a cliffhanger, literally. Rey finally made her way to meet up with the ever elusive Luke Skywalker and returned his famed lightsaber in the process. There’s a ton of conflict that needs to be addressed still, and ‘The Last Jedi’ will serve as the conduit for bringing everything to a head. 

The First Order are planning on launching a full-scale assault on the rebels, while their quintessential leader Kylo Ren regroups after a defeat at the hands of Rey. As General Leia deals with the loss of Han, Poe Dameron tries to figure out how to destroy the First Order once and for all. If you’re familiar with the typical Star Wars narrative,  then you know this: things are about to get bad. With the good guys scoring the first major blow by destroying the Starkiller Base, best believe the First Order are about to strike back in a major way. ‘The Last Jedi’ will very much be ‘The Empire Strikes Back.’ something tells me Kylo and crew are about to have the last laugh this time around.

Let’s not forget: we’re also about to meet the new big bad in the Star Wars universe in Emperor Snoke. The way things are looking, December will be an extremely exciting month for more than just Christmas this year. Tickets for ‘The Last Jedi’ are on sale right now, and if you have plans on going during opening weekend, you’d best snag them now.
