Apple Sends Media Invites For Their Next Event

2 min read

Apple has something big up their sleeves. According to a few tech bloggers, Apple has begun sending out media invites for their next special event. The event will be held on March 25th, at the Steve Jobs Theater from the Apple Campus in Cupertino, CA. The invites come with the tagline “It’s showtime” and will most likely feature the first mention of Apple’s upcoming TV service.

Apple reportedly has several high profile stars on board to launch new content, and a few will be in attendance during the event. Stars like Steve Carrell, and Jennifer Aniston are rumored to be attached to Apple exclusive shows. The service itself will still be a ways off from launching, but we’ll at least be getting minor details during the event.

There’s also rumors of a refresh headed to the Apple News app on iOS devices. The update will bring along several updates, but most importantly a new “paid” tier to access premium content. Partners like The New York Times, or The Washington Post will be included and plans will likely start at $9.99/month. Those two sites in particular already offer premium content on their own, and there’s been no word yet on whether or not existing subscribers will be able to migrate into Apple’s paid tier using existing subscriptions.

The event will be held on Monday, March 25th at 10AM Pacific Standard Time, or 1 PM Eastern Standard Time.
