Bethesda Details Massive Fallout 4 DLC Plans

2 min read

Bethesda has finally broken their silence and unveiled their plans to bring an absolutely insane update to their smash hit game, Fallout 4. The expansion(s) will be part of the Season Pass pack, so if you already purchased that, you’re good to go. If you’re one of the unlucky few who haven’t here’s a few reasons why you may want to jump on it now.

The first expansion will be titled ‘Automatron’ and it features a pretty badass plot that finds you hunting down giant robots released into the Commonwealth by The Mechanist. The Robobrain is the alpha of the group, and the goal behind this mission is to hunt them all down, harvest their parts, and eventually build your own robotic companion. Automatron will launch on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 in March.

The second planned release is titled ‘Wasteland Workshop’ and with it comes several special add-ons for your settlements. The biggest of which happens to be the ability to build traps designed to harbor the game’s biggest baddies. The traps can hold everything from Raiders, to the extra lethal Deathclaws, and you can either tame them or have them face off against each other or your own settlers. So now you can finally breed Deathclaws and set them loose on your own settlement for those times you just want to start fresh. Wasteland Workshop will be released in April.

The third planned DLC expansion is called ‘Far Harbor’ and sends you on a suicide mission to the mysterious island of Far Harbor. The island is off the coast of Maine and has been subjected to even higher levels of radiation, which means the place will be crawling with Ghouls. There’s a growing conflict between the Synths, the Children of the Atom, and the local townspeople, and you get dropped right in the middle of it all. Bethesda is bragging that this is the largest landmass for an add-on they’ve ever made, so gamers can expect a ton more missions, weapons, and enemies to encounter. Far Harbor is planned to be released in May.

Now for the important stuff. With all this extra stuff headed towards Fallout 4, Bethesda is increasing the price of the season pass from $29.99 to $49.99 on March 1st. You have until then to get the season pass at the discounted rate, and if you’ve already purchased the season pass, you’re already set.

Now for the REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF. Bethesda is running a closed Beta for the new DLC, and everyone can sign up for it. If selected, Bethesda will send you a free code to download all of the upcoming add-ons. To get in on the goodness, you simply need to head over to Bethesda.net and sign up for the closed beta.

Well…….what are you waiting for!?!?! Get to it!
