Still riding the wave of momentum from their hit mobile games Super Mario Run and Pokemon GO! Nintendo is set to deliver another hit mobile game. This time around, Nintendo will revive one of their classic NES franchises and update it for modern day gamers. That franchise is none other than Dr. Mario, and Nintendo will reportedly release it for mobile devices this summer. ‘Dr. Mario World’ will be available on both Android and iOS for free, but will of course also support in-app purchases.

Dr. Mario originally debuted back in 1990 for the original NES home console. It is an action puzzle game, that pits Nintendo’s favorite plumber in the role of Dr. Mario, as he fights to keep nasty viruses from taking over his capsule bottle. The game was fast paced, and very similar to Tetris. To win, players would be tasked with clearing all viruses without allowing the colored capsules to fill up the screen. While the game technically only has 20 levels total, players can continue to play beyond that number.

Full details around ‘Dr. Mario World’ are still pretty scarce. We do know that once it releases it’ll be available in the US, and 59 other countries worldwide. Get ready to toss that white lab coat back on and eradicate some viruses this summer!
