Epic Games Is Bringing Back Their In-Person Fortnite Tournament

1 min read

Epic Games has formally announced the return of their in-person Fortnite tournament for 2022. This will be their first since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last Fortnite tournament happened back in 2019, during a three-day winner-take-all-round robin contest. The prize was $30 million and players from all across the world came to participate. Due to COVID, Epic Games was forced to cancel both the 2020 and 2021 editions of their tournaments. With COVID restrictions easing across several states Epic is looking to return with a bang.

With player and attendee safety in mind, Epic has stressed that things could change if the virus dictates so. The FNCS will be held on November 12th and 13th at the Raleigh Convention Center in North Carolina. Top Duos from around the world will have the chance to compete for their share of a $1,000,000 prize pool in a single lobby.

For more details on the tourney, stay tuned to the Epic Games blog, and check out the original post RIGHT HERE.
