Fortnite Is Adding Spilt-Screen Mode For Duos And Squads

1 min read

Fortnite is adding a spilt-screen mode for duos and squads in the next game update. The feature has been one of the most widely requested additions to the game for quite some time. Gamers will finally be able to enjoy some good old “couch co-op” with a friend while chasing the dub. This will undoubtedly increase the number of people playing Fortnite, but it could also cause extra strain while gaming. This is especially true if players are using something like a dota mmr boost to match their gaming skills with other players and make the gameplay much more enjoyable than playing with people of mismatched skill.

The extra strain could potentially come from the fact that developers will now have to find a way to render the map twice. This could cause a substantial drop in frame rate and an increase in lag. Epic Games developers are encouraging gamers to report any bugs they encounter through the reporting tool under game settings.

They have also made sure to note that this is an early release version of split-screen, and as such it will improve over time.
