Project Fi Goes Invite Free

1 min read

Google’s wildly ambitious wireless service, Project Fi is ready for the big time. The company announced on Tuesday that they were moving past the invite only stage, and opening the program for the general public. Project Fi is Google’s own mobile phone service, by which customers can choose a specific amount of data to be used within a month. The backbone of the service is bolstered by both T-Mobile USA and Sprint, with the service being smart enough to dynamically switch between the two based on whichever one will give you the best signal.

This is all brought on by the overwhelming (perhaps unexpected) success of Project Fi. Google claims the service is being used in several smart devices, and is backed by a 24/7 customer service center aimed at getting users connected to a live representative within 20 seconds. Pretty ambitious eh?

Add all that to the fact that Google is also offering new customers a full $150 off the LG Nexus 5X, making it one of the best no contract, no installment plans available. If this sounds like your type of thing, head on over to Google’s Project Fi site to get full program details, and sign up info.
