Snapchat Will Display Polling Locations On Election Day

1 min read

In a continued effort to reach young voters during the Election, Snapchat is making it easier to find polling locations. On Election Day, Snapchat will add polling locations to its ‘Snap Map’. The feature will be used to encourage voters young and old, to head out and let their voice be heard. In addition to polling locations, Snapchat will also be adding special filters and lenses in the camera, along with election specific outfits for your Bitmoji.

Snapchat has also partnered with Get To The Polls to provide app users with push notifications (Snaps) and reminders to encourage them to get out and vote. Snapchat will of course filter notifications down to users 18 or older to ensure the right people are reached.

Seeing Snapchat and other tech companies take initiative in trying to get people out to vote is very encouraging. After all, the youth is the future. Make sure to check out Snapchat on Tuesday, November 6th to see the tech in action.
