Guardians Of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series

Telltale games is adding another heavyweight franchise to their already impressive portfolio. Along with Marvel, the award-winning game developer announced they will be releasing an episodic game centered around the Guardians Of The Galaxy. The game will feature an exclusive story that will unfold across five episodes, and players will get the chance to play as multiple members of the Guardians. Guardians Of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series will premiere digitally and on consoles in 2017. Mobile gamers will be able to download the game straight to their devices, while console gamers will have the option to buy the game by individual episodes, or a special season pass disc.

CEO of Telltale games, Kevin Bruner spoke about his excitement for the game saying “The energizing blend of humor, emotion, teamwork, and full-on sci-fi action-adventure of the Guardians provides an enormously satisfying space to explore through Telltale’s unique style of interactive storytelling.” He went on to add, “In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, players will take on multiple roles within the ragtag band of heroes, and take the pilot’s seat in directing their escapades around the universe. We are always honored to be working with the best creative partners and storytellers in entertainment, and working with Marvel on this series leaves us excited to share what we’ve been developing when it premieres in 2017.”

With Telltale at the helm of this game, I can honestly say I’m pumped to see how it turns out. Their Walking Dead games are always a blast to play, and they really have a knack for knocking the story out of the park with each of their games. Perhaps what’s most impressive is the range in which their titles are based around. Telltale has bounced from original stories like ‘A Wolf Among Us’ to imaginative stories from already established franchises like Batman and Minecraft, and absolutely crushed it. I can’t wait to check it out and play it for myself.
