The Walking Dead Is Being Permanently Added To Universal Studios

1 min read

If you watched last night’s stellar episode of The Walking Dead, then you would’ve seen an advertisement for an awesome new attraction headed to Universal Studios Hollywood. The Walking Dead attraction itself isn’t really new to the theme park per-se, but it will go from being an attraction only offered around Halloween, to being a permanent staple in the park.

With that said, the Walking Dead attraction will see tons of upgrades, including scores of actors sporting “authentic walker make-up” effects, animatronic walkers, a much more detailed and designed set and costumes and highly recognizable props from the show. Of course you can’t claim to have authentic Walking Dead scenery without the SFX wizard himself, Greg Nicotero being involved. As such, Nicotero and his company KNB eFX will be hands on to bring the absolute most realistic experience to patrons.

The attraction is slated to be completed in “Summer 2016” and will almost certainly break some sort of theme park world record when it does. Want to check out a sneak peek of the attraction? Check out the video below!
