These Are The WWE Figures I Wish I Had Growing Up

These Are The WWE Figures I've Always Wanted

Famed toy maker, Bluefin just announced a new lineup of WWE action figures that I wish I had growing up. I’ve been a fan of pro wrestling for as long as I can remember. I’ve also loved the WWE (back then, WWF) action figures for the same amount of time. One of my favorite things to do was to take my action figures and recreate all the insanity from both WWE and WCW. One of the biggest drawbacks to using my action figures though, is that most of them were manufactured without any regard to realism. Most of the faces were off, or the body type was so greatly exaggerated, that it took some of the fun away from playing with them. I mean, trying to use my Mattel Bret Hart to put a Sharpshooter on Mattel Shawn Michaels was next to impossible.

These Bluefin action figures are the perfect cure for the stiffness of wrestling figures past. Designed by Tamashii Nations, these figures boast an incredible 30 points of articulation. That means they bend at the waist, have kneecaps and elbows, and even individual fingers that can be set to your liking.  They also used an industry leading Digital Sculpt Technology that gives their action figures an uncanny resemblance to their real-life counterparts. The line up will start with Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, then Triple H will be available through Ringside collectibles later this week. There are plans to also release A ‘Brothers Of Destruction’ set with Undertaker and Kane in July. The figures are six-inch figures so they’ll work with most of the existing WWE wrestling ring playsets. The only drawback: they start at $49.99, so maybe take it easy while you’re playing with them.

If you’re ready to buy, head on over to Toys R US or Ringside Collectibles to snag some for yourself. In the meanwhile, check out this gallery of the action figures below:
