Woody Harrelson Joins The Cast Of The Young Han Solo Movie

In what promises to be the most interesting movie in the Star Wars franchise, the film that will tell the story of Han Solo has added another star. Woody Harrelson (The Hunger Games, Zombieland) will be joining Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Alden Ehrenreich for the film.

Plot details for the young Han movie are very scarce, but the story is supposed to take place around ten years before the events of A New Hope. The as-of-yet untitled Han Solo movie, will follow the story of the famous smuggler and what made him the man he is in the Star Wars movies. 

Woody Harrelson’s role is yet to be discussed, but if I had to guess, I’d assume he’s been cast as a mentor to Han Solo. That would make perfect sense for this movie as we’d get to see exactly what influenced Han’s decision to become a smuggler, and who aided him in doing so. One arc that I’m particularly interested in, is seeing a young Han meet a young Lando Calrissian for the first time. It’ll also be interesting to see what role Emilia Clarke will be playing during her time on-screen.
