WWE Money In The Bank Results

13 min read

Tonight’s Money In The Bank PPV has the potential to be a pretty great show with the ability to set up, some great angles heading into Summerslam. Was it exciting or did it fall flat? Who won? Who lost? Read on to find out:

WWE Money In The Bank Kickoff: King Barrett v R-Truth:

Barrett and Truth start with some pretty solid back and forth action, with R-Truth getting the upper hand early. Truth reverses an irish whip off the ropes into a pretty impressive spinning head scissors, then he dumps Barrett to the outside. After an odd commercial break, Barrett has regained the upper hand and is looking to wear truth down. Truth is having no parts of that however, as he stays on the offensive getting a couple two counts in the process. Barrett hits Truth with a back kick and then a big boot out of the corner for a very close two count. Barrett sets up for the Bullhammer and misses, Truth rebounds off the ropes, wraps Barrett up in a Crucifix Pin for the three count and the win. Wow…. really fast match, and Barrett’s stock continues to sink.

Winner: R-Truth

We cut to a quick Dusty Rhodes tribute, with some old and new footage interlaced. I wish people understood how great a promo Dusty really was. He’ll most definitely be missed.

And just like that, I’m off to an 0-1 start. Stay with us as I’ll be updating results as they roll in!

Money In The Bank Match: Roman Reigns v Kane v Neville v Dolph Ziggler v Sheamus v Kofi Kingston v Randy Orton

Wow. Pretty ballsy move by starting tonight off with the Money In The Bank Match. I’m going to have to assume that we may very well see a cash in tonight. The match starts with everyone going after someone. Kofi is the lone competitor and the first to grab a ladder. Everyone notices Kofi and stops fighting each other and simultaneously pounce on Kofi. There’s pretty much a free for all for the ladder for a few minutes before the ring is cleared. Sheamus ends up being the only person in the ring and does a great job of keeping everyone out. After the action spilling back outside of the ring, Kofi sneaks back into the ring to try to grab the briefcase. He gets unceremoniously dumped from the ladder by Sheamus, who then sets up a ladder in the corner. Neville is back up and hits a Springboard Dropkick on Sheamus ony to get blasted by Kofi, who then dodges a Brogue Kick from Sheamus and hits him with a Trouble In Paradise. Neville is back up, and starts in on Kofi, nailing him with a kick to the head in the corner. Neville then attempts a Monkey Flip on Kofi, which Kofi somehow reverses and lands on the ladder which he starts to climb. Roman Reigns is back up and he begins to beat down both Kofi and Neville. Reigns gets the upper hand on Kofi and powerbombs him on the ladder that Sheamus set up earlier.
