WWE Network Officially Launches

2 min read

Today, WWE aims to change the way we view their programming forever. Starting today, WWE has launched their ever ambitious WWE Network. The WWE Network is essentially a hardcore wrestling fans wet dream as for the first time ever, every single pay-per-view ever made by the wrestling giant will be available for streaming via the WWE app.

WWE is not only offering it’s entire past collection of pay-per-view events, but also those from former competitors WCW and ECW. Add that to the new “in-ring” shows, RAW and Smackdown replays and post shows, and original content created specifically for the network, and you have a seemingly unlimited amount of video accessible. The high point of all this is the fact that the WWE Network is available for $9.99 a month, which is a stark contrast from what the company usually makes off a single pay-per-view. Which leads me to perhaps the biggest advantage of the WWE Network, which is the inclusion of all 12 current pay-per-views at no additional charge. When you consider the fact that an average pay-per-view usually runs about $44.95, a $9.99 monthly subscription sounds a ton better. Being that tech savvy company that they are, WWE has made sure that their content will be available across multiple devices including iOS devices, Android, PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360, Kindle Fire, Roku, PCs, and select Smart TVs.

I already cashed in on my subscription, but not before about an hour and a half of trying. That’s already a good sign as it seems WWE is battling an influx of visitors to their site in anticipation of the launch of the WWE Network. If you want to check out the library yourself, head on over to WWE.com and get started with a compimentary 1 week trial.
