Just moments ago, Yahoo took the wraps off a brand new Flickr experience, and promises to make the photo sharing service awesome again. They plan on doing this by adding tons of new features and new photo tech “later this year”. One new feature immediately available for new users will be One TERABYTE (yes, one whole terabyte) of online storage for users of the site. In addition to the new mammoth amount of cloud storage available, Yahoo plans on rolling out a redesigned site in hopes of attracting a younger crowd. This comes on the heels of Yahoo announcing that they had in fact purchased Tumblr for $1.1 Billion in cash.

With it’s latest acquisitions and moves within the company, it would appear that Yahoo is attempting to not only increase their online presence, but do so while appealing to a younger, “in-crowd” demographic. Are you a current Flickr user? If not, does this news interest you in at least checking it out? Let us know in the comments!
