iPhone SE 2 Gets Revealed In New Leak
2 min readAs we creep closer and closer to Summer, the leaks for the next-gen iPhone become more frequent. Apple is in a precarious position as of late, with waning interest in the iPhone X, they have to reinvent the wheel. Again. If the latest round of leaks are any indication, it looks like they’re not fully embracing the idea of change, but rather doubling down on the new look of iPhones. In addition to launching a new version of the notch having iPhone X, Apple is also rumored to be working on an even bigger iPhone X Plus, and a budget friendly iPhone SE 2. The latter was initially rumored to be a shot-for-shot remake of the original, but according to new photo leaks, it’ll be more like an iPhone X mini.
According to several leaks to hit the web recently, the iPhone SE 2 will go bezel-less, and buttonless. Photos showing the design on the screen hint at a smaller model that will indeed have FaceID capability and an iPhone X-like notch at the top of the display. According to leaker Mac Otakara, the new version of the iPhone SE will launch in the Fall alongside other Apple devices.
The biggest question now, is whether the SE 2 will attract enough consumers to make it worth-while. With people seemingly jaded by the high price point of the current iPhone X, it’ll be interesting to see if Apple introduces the flagship phones at a lower price point. If so, can they drop it to a point that would be attractive to consumers, while still allowing Apple to maintain their record profit margins. We’ll have to wait until Apple’s event in the Fall for final details. In the meantime, check out some of the leaked screen designs below.
