McFarlane Toys And DC To Release New Figure Line In 2020

DC’s diverse array of heroes and villains will soon have a new home for their action figure line. Award winning toy maker McFarlane Toys announced a new partnership with DC and Warner Bros. to produce figures beginning in 2020. The deal is valid for three years, in which McFarlane will release figures from DC comics, video games, and feature films. The toys will range between 6″ – 12″ and will feature an ultra-posable design, and will also have vehicles and accessories from within the DC Multiverse.

“This partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC will be great fun for my company, and a chance to deliver products that millions of fans of the DC brand have been asking for,” said Todd McFarlane, Owner and CEO of McFarlane Toys. “The DC universe has captivated the world and to be able to play in that ‘sandbox’ now makes me feel like a kid all over again. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”

Adding DC into the mix expands McFarlane’s already robust portfolio of hit franchises. They currently are the go-to designer for Fortnite, Harry Potter, NBA 2K, and The Walking Dead to name a few. It’s exciting to see that DC will produce figures based on the movie versions of their characters in addition to their comic book counterparts. As of writing there’s been no additional details released about the figures, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing more about them at a comic con sometime soon.

Either way, having the McFarlane name behind their latest products will do nothing but bolster the DC name in the collectibles space. The McFarlane DC figures will be available at most major retailers and online beginning early 2020.
