Netflix’s ‘Dark Crystal’ Prequel Is Loaded With Voice Talent
2 min readIt seems like it was just yesterday when Netflix announced plans to produce a series based on the 1982 film ‘The Dark Crystal.’ Just today, they finally revealed the series voice cast, and it is loaded with some of todays top talent. There’s not a single word that I could use to accurately describe the amount of star-power involved in this series. With this many A-Listers confirmed, the show has no choice but to be stellar…..At least we hope.
The series is centered around three Gelfling who discover a secret about the Skesis’ power, and they set out on a quest to save Thra. The Gelfling will be voiced by Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nathalie Emmanuel. Other voice talent will include Mark Hamill, Keegan Michael-Key, Helena Botham Carter, Andy Samberg, and Simon Pegg to name a few.
Netflix has promised to use a combination of cutting edge visual effects and classic puppetry to appeal to both new and old fans of the ‘Dark Crystal’ franchise. While the series isn’t set to debut until next year, there’s already a ton of excitement around the project. Check out these Twitter reactions shortly after the voice cast was announced:
