Playstation Messages Makes It Even Easier To Keep Up With Gaming Friends
1 min readPlaystation just unveiled their new Playstation Messages app for iOS and Android that aims to connect gamers faster than ever before. We all know it’s a royal pain to try to type out messages or send gaming invites to your COD friends using the touch pad on the Dualshock 4 controller. How about adding one of those big, bulky third-party keyboards? Forget about it. Up until today, the absolute easiest way to communicate through the PSN was with the Playstation App. With it, you could send and respond to invites, enter promo codes for redemption, and message your friends. With the introduction of the Playstation Messages app, you can bypass all that and have a central hub with the sole focus on chatting and messaging.
The Messaging functionality of the Playstation App has been disabled, and Playstation Messages will be its own standalone app. Users will have access to their full friends list and be able to respond to messages faster, and will have added features like voice messages and stickers. Facebook pulled a similar move last year, and while the initial response was mostly backlash, users seem to have accepted using separate apps dedicated solely to messaging.
I just downloaded the app on my phone, are you? Hit the download links below, and sound off in the comments!!!
