Star Wars Battlefront II Could Blow The Original Out Of The Sky
2 min readWe just got our first look at Star Wars: Battlefront II and it looks incredible. The trailer leaked earlier than it was supposed to, and reveals quite a bit about the direction of the game. Battlefield II is supposed to span several generations of the film, and feature some of the franchises most important characters. There are appearances from Darth Maul, Yoda, Rey, and Kylo Ren in the trailer, and it really shows the incredible depth this game may achieve.
Battlefront II is supposed to make huge improvements over its predecessor. For starters, there is supposed to be a better single player campaign featuring an Imperial Soldier after the fall of the Empire. I’d imagine the story will be one of redemption, similar to the story that was told in The Force Awakens with Finn. It could also be a story that starts with an Imperial Soldier, but switches to the perspective of another character later on. Either way, a solid campaign will be more than welcomed as it was one of the single biggest missing pieces from the original.
Interestingly enough, there’s also stills in the trailer of some pretty awesome looking space combat. There’s been no official word just yet, but it looks like Battlefront II will be taking the idea of dogfights, and pushing them even further.
Another area for improvement in Battlefront II would be in online Multiplayer. In the original, I always felt like co-op would’ve been a nice added bonus along with a few other game play modes. The few that were present were cool, but they were a far cry from the multiple modes you get to choose in a game like Battlefield or even Call Of Duty titles.
Battlefront II will be making its official debut later this year on Xbox One and Playstation 4, with 4K compatible versions debuting on Project Scorpio and the PS4 Pro.
