WWE Elimination Chamber Results

Kickoff Show; Zack Ryder v Stardust:

This was a late addition match added to the Elimination Chamber Kickoff show that perfectly served its purpose. The match was a pretty decent back and forth match that had both competitors looking good throughout. I liked the pairing of these two, and they could have a pretty decent 4 or 5 match series to elevate them both higher on the roster. The action mostly stayed in the ring, but spilled outside briefly as Zack Ryder hit an awkward drop kick from the apron that looked like it hurt him more than it helped. As the two got back in the ring, Stardust gained the upper hand following a few missteps, and nailed Ryder with the Cross Rhodes for the win.

Winner: Stardust

Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match; The New Day v Los Matadores v Prime Time Players v Kidd & Cesaro v The Ascension v The Lucha Dragons:

The Lucha Dragons and The Ascension start the match, as all three members of The New Day look on ominously. The Lucha Dragons get the advantage early and they both climb to the top of pods the execute an aerial attack. Sin Cara sat perched on his pod, while Kalisto wound up getting his leg yanked into the pod he was standing on by The New Day. The countdown timer hits and the first team officially out of the pod is Kidd and Cesaro. Kidd and Cesaro go nuts as soon as they get out, striking everything that moves. Cesaro hits an insane running uppercut on Kalisto, which is then immediately followed up by a superplex from (nearly) the top of the pod. Los Matadores is out next, and that means El Torito will be featured as well. Sure enough, Torito ends up climbing all the way to the top of the Chamber itself, and attempted to splash The Ascension. The Ascension catches him and launches him to the outside into one of the Matadores. The other half of Los Matadores gets caught in the fall of man and ends up getting his team eliminated first courtesy of The Ascension. From there, the Ascension eliminate The Lucha Dragons and the team field is narrowed to four. Next out of their pods were the Prime Time Players, who wasted no time going after the big dogs in the match, the Ascension. PTP went on the offensive and stayed on the offensive, with Titus O’neil aggressively going after Viktor on the outside. After a brief two-minute beat down, the Prime Time Players eliminate The Ascension, and now we’re down to three. All the remaining men in the match pull off a giant seven man suplex for the first official high spot of the night, and then Kidd and Cesaro managed to stuff Xavier Woods back into one of the pods. Meanwhile PTP disposed of Kofi and Big E, making the match a two-on-two affair momentarily. PTP and Kiid and Cesaro battle it out in the middle of the ring until The New Day regrouped. Cesaro, distracted by attempting to take out all members of The New Day, ended up leaving Tyson to fend for himself, unsuccessfully as he got eliminated by PTP. It’s now down to PTP and The New Day, and the numbers game heavily favor the champs. The New Day essentially decimate PTP after some early offense, and pin Titus for the win.

Winners: The New Day
