Widgets On The Home Screen

That’s right. iPhone users are finally getting home screen widgets, in 2020. Initially confined to the ‘Today’ screen, widgets will be finally moveable to your home screen with iOS 14. Widgets aren’t very customizable (yet) but you can place them wherever you want. There’s also a new “Smart Stack” widget that curates what you see based on the frequency by which you use apps. For example, the widget could start off showing you your calendar in the morning. As your day progresses, it would then switch from the calendar view to showing you how many steps you’ve taken, etc.

For some, this may not be a huge leap forward, but any power user will definitely appreciate this.
