Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 Will Ditch The Headphone Jack

1 min read

At least according to a new accessory leak that is. According to a post on SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 10 will be the first Samsung device to drop the headphone jack. In its place will just be the USB-C port, and an included adapter to use 3.5mm headphones if necessary. The move comes as more and more manufacturers are moving away from the traditional port, in favor of adapters and wireless peripherals.

Samsung has vehemently fought the transition, often patting themselves on the back for continually including the headphone jack on their devices. It’ll be interesting to see what type of spin they put on the justification for moving away from such a highly requested feature. Either way, the harsh reality for Samsung lovers out there is the fact that the beloved headphone jack will slowly but surely begin to be phased out from Galaxy devices.

The good news is, Samsung usually always bundles headphones in with their devices, so users won’t be left totally in the dark. The bundled headphones that come with the Note 10 will most likely be USB-C but hey, something is better than nothing. There’s also the possibility of Samsung opting to throw in a free pair of Galaxy Buds with a purchase of a Note 10 as they’ve done with previous releases.
