In a new leak from the GameStop conference, two classic titles from the Sega Mega Drive will be debuting on current-gen systems in October. Disney classics ‘The Lion King’ and ‘Aladdin’ will be debuting again for current-gen systems. Both titles were wildly popular back in the 90s’ thanks to their animated film counterparts. Now, both are getting revived on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.

The Lion King was my personal favorite out of the two as it followed a simple, yet highly engaging platformer formula. All the standard features are there, a health bar, power-ups with a cool-down period, and engaging boss battles. The news behind both games was broken on Twitter, along with a picture of some box art of the HD remasters.

Both games will also retain the original soundtracks from their 90s’ versions so prepare to jam to some 32-bit “Hakuna Matata” and “Arabian Nights.”
