The Synder Cut Of ‘Justice League’ Set To Debut On HBO MAX

2 min read

One of the biggest unicorns in modern cinema history will finally get to see the light of day. The oft-rumored Snyder Cut of ‘Justice League’ is set to debut on HBO MAX. Fans and actors alike have been clamoring for this film to be released, and DC has finally listened.

Zack Synder was at the helm of the Justice League movie until a family tragedy forced him to step away. Joss Whedon stepped in and took his place, and in the process reshot a large portion of the film. The theatrical release was largely panned by critics and moviegoers alike, despite grossing over $650 Million after its release.

After the confirmation of the existence of a Zack Snyder cut of the film, some of the biggest names in the film took to social media clamoring for it to be released. Both Jason Momoa who plays Aquaman, and Gal Gadot who stars as Wonder Woman have been actively campaigning for the film’s release. The movement picked up so much momentum, that Synder himself was forced to both acknowledge it’s existence and shop it around to potential suitors.

With HBO MAX debuting soon and WarnerMedia being the new home for DC content, the stars have seemingly aligned. The Snyder cut is rumored to be a much darker take than what we were treated to initially. The tone is said to be more serious, and wildly different from what Warner and Whedon released. HBO MAX is slated to debut on May 27th, with the Snyder cut of Justice League debuting in 2021.
