Verizon Wireless To Carry Windows 8 Devices “In The Coming Weeks”

Apparently AT&T won’t be the only US carrier hopping aboard the Windows 8 train. Verizon Wireless today announced that they too will be carrying Windows 8 devices, with two of those devices launching “in the coming weeks.” Windows 8 will definitely be a make or break product for Microsoft, as sales of their Windows Phone 7 devices slumped horribly behind Android and iOS devices, besting only Blackberry in sales. As far as devices, Verizon has announced the following as their starting Windows 8 lineup:

HTC Windows Phone 8X
Nokia Lumia 822
Samsung ATIV Odyssey

The HTC Windows Phone 8X and Nokia Lumia 822 are both slated to hit shelves “by Thanksgiving”, while the Samsung ATIV Odyssey will be available by the end of the year.
