She-Ra is Getting a Reboot in 2018
1 min readHe Man’s twin sister, Princess Adora is getting her own animated reboot on Netflix. The extremely popular 80’s cartoon will be revived by cartoonist Noelle Stevenson who is best known for the Lumberjanes comic series. According to Stevenson’s twitter, she has been working in secret on this project for more than a couple years now.
For those that weren’t 80’s babies, She-Ra: Princess of Power was a spin off of He Man: Masters of the Universe, in which Adora was abducted as a child and taken to another world, Etheria where she was trained to be a general in the Evil Horde. She-Ra learned of her origins when He Man showed up on Etheria. She overthrew the tyrannical rule of Hordak by using her magical sword and her healing touch.
She-Ra: Princess of Power is just one of several animated Netflix is debuting next year. Other animated shows coming to the Netflix lineup are Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, Harvey Street Kids, The Boss Baby: Back in Business, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, and 3 Below. She-Ra will premiere sometime in 2018 but no exact date has been announced.
