5G Connectivity For All Models

In my opinion, this is a no brainer. The last 3 generations of Samsung devices have had 5G radios on board, and Apple needs to join the 5G party as well. We know that Apple typically plays it safe when it comes to implementing “new” technology, but this is one standard that they’d want to embrace fully. Not just because everyone else has already rolled out 5G devices, but because they could use the 5G standard to sell their other services alongside the iPhone. Things like Apple TV+ and the Apple Arcade will stand to directly benefit from the advanced capabilities of 5G, and Apple should play up that fact.

With more people consuming media via streaming on their mobile devices now is the time for Apple to lean all the way into their streaming services. Apple is in a unique position being they could legitimately rope customers all the way into the Apple ecosystem. No other manufacturer can offer customers an in-house TV and game streaming service with their new device. Apple can, and they should. By talking up the increased advantage of improved speed and lower latency with 5G, Apple could pull more potential buyers in by being the only company that can truly offer buyers a complete end to end solution.
