Bianca Belair V Asuka V Becky Lynch (Raw Women’s Championship Triple Threat)
Another candidate for the match of the night is the Raw Women’s Championship match between Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Becky Lynch. Bianca and Becky have already had an insanely good match together back at Wrestlemania, and I have no doubt that tonight will be another in the series. Asuka could always serve as the folly here, eating the pin from either Lynch or Belair, but she’s also dangerous in her own right. These three women are easily in the top five most talented women on the roster (the other two walked out) and should be capable of putting on a high-quality, main-event caliber match with relative ease. Smart money is on Bianca Belair retaining, but with SummerSlam rapidly approaching, WWE could pull a swerve and throw the strap right back around Becky’s waist.
Prediction: Bianca Belair wins and retains Raw Women’s Championship
Cody Rhodes V Seth “Freakin” Rollins (Hell In A Cell Match)
The main event (maybe?) of the night will feature the rubber match between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, inside the Hell In A Cell. If you would’ve told me one year ago that these two would be squaring off in this matchup, I’d of probably laughed in your face. But… here we are. Cody and Seth have been killing it in the ring and on the mic, and even though a HIAC match feels a bit premature for this rivalry, it’ll give both men a showcase to properly end their feud. Seth could use a win here but honestly, so could Cody. News broke earlier that Cody could be dealing with a very serious injury, and if that’s the case Seth may just walk away with the victory here thanks to some outside interference in order to keep Cody looking strong. Both competitors are postering for a position atop the card on Monday Night Raw, and of course a spot in the men’s Money In The Bank match next month. I don’t expect this to be a Meltzer five-star classic, but it should serve as a launching pad for Cody into his next high-profile feud.
