CM Punk Is Starring In A Horror Movie
2 min readCM Punk has become a renaissance man since his departure from WWE in 2014. He’s written for Marvel Comics, podcasted, and even had two fights in the UFC. His next transition may be his most ambitious yet though, as he’ll be taking on the lead role in a new horror flick called, “Girl On The Third Floor.” Punk will star as Don Koch, a man who is described as “failing as a husband, and skated through life relying mostly on charisma.” Koch comes across an old house that he acquires for his growing family, and that’s where the problems start.
The house becomes a major project for Koch, as it begins to strain the relationship between he and his wife. His wife, Liz (played by Trieste Kelly Dunn) is immediately concerned about how long the project will take, while Don views it as a chance to fix his past. The plot itself sounds pretty standard for a horror movie, but as we all know when it comes to movies, execution is everything. Acting should come pretty natural to Punk, as pro wrestlers make their bread and butter doing just that. During his time in WWE Punk had risen to unexpected heights by making his character extremely relatable to the audience. He was also known for throwing razor-sharp barbs and utilizing insanely quick wit. Making himself one of the best in the business on the microphone.
“Girl On The Third Floor” isn’t set to debut until 2019, but thanks to WGN Chicago, you can get a quick glimpse of the film below. This is a short clip, but it sets the tone of the film perfectly. It definitely got me curious enough to want to see the full film. Check it out as Punk flexes his acting chops in this brief tease from “Girl On The Third Floor.” Let us know what you think about it in the comments!
