Magna Carta Holy Grail To Debut First On Samsung Galaxy Smartphones

Mega rap star Jay-Z says he wants to rewrite the rules with his new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ and if the marketing behind this is any indication of how serious he is, he’ll do just that. In a partnership with Samsung, Jay will release his new album to owners of the Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy S IV, and Galaxy Note 2 before anyone else will be able to get their hands on it (barring the Internet bootleggers). Announced during Game 5 of the NBA Finals last night, Jigga stole the spotlight from an otherwise fast paced Finals match up between the Spurs and Heat. In the three minute ad, Jay declares, the Internet has turned Hip-Hop into “the Wild Wild West”, and it’s up to them (artists) to “Rewrite the rules”.
This is probably the coolest, and most innovative way that I’ve ever witnessed an album launch. Jay-Z’s albums are usually guaranteed to go Platinum anyway, but couple in the millions and millions of Galaxy owners and this thing might end up cracking double and triple platinum with ease. All you need to do is own one of the aforementioned devices, and download the official app to partake in some Hip-Hop gold.
