Official ‘Night Of The Living Dead’ Sequel In The Works
2 min read50 years ago, one of the greatest films ever made debuted and forever changed the face of horror films. George A. Romero’s ‘Night Of The Living Dead’ has enjoyed legendary status within the genre, and has inspired several copycats over the years. Now, in addition to celebrating the films 50th anniversary, Living Dead Media has announced there’s an official Night Of The Living Dead sequel coming soon in cooperation with the original writers and producers. Now before you go and start the “What about Dawn and Day of the Dead” arguments, we mean a real namesake sequel, not another addition to the franchise.
That’s right, the sequel will be officially named “Night Of The Living Dead Part II.” There’s been no word on if the sequel will take place directly after the events of the first, or not as details are very scarce as of writing. Speaking to Bloody Disgusting, Living Dead Media had this to say about the franchise:
“Night of the Living Dead first brought zombies to the silver screen in 1968. The world was unprepared for the film’s flesh starved ghouls, which resulted in a groundbreaking and commercial success. It remains one of the most influential and revered horror films of all time and now sits in the Library of Congress
The film is slated to drop sometime in 2019, but you can keep up with the latest updates via NightOfTheLivingDead.Com
