X-Men Apocalypse Official Trailer

In the first official trailer for the upcoming X-Men flick, things look as bleak as they ever have. The story follows the rise of an all-new threat to not just Charles Xavier and his school of gifted mutants, but to civilization as a whole.

A new super mutant named Apocalypse has arisen after lying dormant for  thousands of years. He awakes to find the world in a state of disarray, with mutants and humans coexisting in the same space. He assembles a team of the most powerful mutants around to form his “Four Horsemen” and they embark on a mission to cleanse the earth and start anew with Apocalypse at the helm of it all.

Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy will both reprise their roles as Magneto and Professor X, and one has to wonder how that dynamic will come into play this time around. There’s also more footage of Psylocke and Archangel in action, and it all looks so sweet! I’m still not a huge fan of the Apocalypse costume, but I will admit he looks pretty B.A. in the trailer.
