10 HUGE Royal Rumble Predictions
5 min read3. New Day Stops
There is no better time to create dissension in the ranks of a team, than in the Royal Rumble. The New Day has enjoyed several big moments over the last few years, including breaking the record for the longest modern-day tag team title reign. They hit a spot of stagnation last year, before being shuffled to Smackdown Live. From there, they reignited the tag team division with the help of the Usos and had an insane series of matches with them. The New Day is still heavily featured on Smackdown Live, but they haven’t really done anything of note lately. It may be time to finally split the New Day, and the Royal Rumble is the best time to do that. I’ve long said that Big E would make an incredible singles competitor and it may be time to pull the trigger on a test run. Perhaps Kofi and Xavier find themselves on the brink of elimination and in the heat of the moment, he could eliminate his stablemates along with whoever else is involved. It’d be sad to see them go, but we’d at least still have UpUpDownDown.
Unless they have given up hope of ever having Roman being embraced by the fans there is no possible way that he can win the Rumble.
OOOOOOOOOOOOH how I wish you were right! Did you notice how they very subtly announced that he was officially in the Rumble Match?
