Wonder Woman Official Trailer

We finally got our first glimpse at Wonder Woman in an official trailer released earlier today. Gal Gadot reprises her role as Diana of Themyscira, in what looks to be both an origin story and a launching pad for another hero from the upcoming Justice League film. Wonder Woman played a very pivotal role in the Batman V Superman movie from last year, and it looks like the Wonder Woman movie will fill in the gaps left from it.

The trailer showcases Wonder Woman on her home island of Themyscira, living amongst her Amazonian family, when their peaceful existence is suddenly changed forever. Gadot will be playing a younger version of Wonder Woman initially, as the film flashes back 100 years into her past. Long before she became the hardened kick-ass femme fatale we were (re) introduced to in Batman V Superman. Chris Pine also stars as US Military fighter pilot Steve Trevor, who eventually becomes a love interest of Wonder Woman.  Elena Anaya will star as Doctor Poison, a long time rival of Wonder Woman’s. Doctor Poison is essentially to Wonder Woman, what the Red Skull is to Captain America. A byproduct of good old-fashioned Nazi hatred, out to destroy or enslave humankind by any means necessary.
