‘Atlanta’ Gets Renewed For A Third Season

One of the best shows on television has been granted a third season. FX officially renewed its smash hit show ‘Atlanta’ after it received critical praise for the second straight season. This should probably not come as a surprise to anybody as ‘Atlanta’ has been consistently one of FX’s best programs. In addition to that, the shows cast have all increased their Hollywood status as a direct result.

Almost all of the main characters have several external projects rolling, which could pose a hazard to figuring out the shooting schedule for season three. The show has garnered several awards including a Golden Globe win for “Best Television Show” and show runner Donald Glover won an individual award for “Best Actor”. 

There’s been no word on when or where the third season will start filming, but if I had to bet, I’d have to say they’re going to stagger filming by a year. This will most certainly allow FX to maintain the stars shooting schedule, without possibly losing anyone to outside project.

Either way, I’m super excited to know ‘Atlanta’ will be getting a third season, and the adventures of Earn, Paper Boy, Darius, and Van will continue.
