Playstation 5 Unboxing

Happy Playstation day guys! We got our hands on Sony’s newest powerhouse console and we had to give it the unboxing treatment! We’ve been waiting for quite some time to get our hands on one, and now that we finally did, the PS5 definitely did not disappoint.

Comparatively speaking, this is by far one of the largest consoles I’ve ever seen. The Playstation 5 almost completely dwarfs its predecessor, not only outsizing but also outclassing the PS4 in the process. The PS5 looks majestic, almost like a monument to console engineering with its deeply sloping curves and glossy black accents. There was also a ton of effort put into making sure that this system runs cool as it has an insane amount of vents all throughout. This well-ventilated design will most likely help keep the system from sounding like a small commercial plane after a few years of use like the PS4 did.

I opted to go for the Digital Edition for my PS5, largely because in today’s gaming climate there really isn’t much need for physical discs anymore. Especially with systems like Google Stadia, and the existence of Sony’s Playstation Now service and Microsoft’s Game Pass, digital gaming is more popular than ever. There’s also no difference between the system with a disc drive, and the one without, and when given the option to save $100, I chose digital.

I really do love the looks of this system though, and while it’s too early to tell whether Sony or Microsoft will be victorious in this round of the console wars, I will give the PS5 the edge when it comes to design.
