Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have signed on to bring an adaption of Blake Harris’s Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation to movie theaters soon. The movie would essentially be a visual presentation of what went on behind the scenes of one of the biggest game console battles ever. Nintendo was fresh off it’s victory lap from the original NES game console when Sega and it’s Master System entered the mix. The rest, as they say is history, but I can’t wait to see how Rogen and company put their spin on this story. Scott Rudin, who produced The Social Network has signed on as Executive Producer, and that alone has me curious about this upcoming project.

It’s still entirely too early to tell whether or not this thing will even pan out, but I’m really hoping so.
