Edited: AT&T Announces Shared Data Plans; Begins Next Month
1 min readBy Rob Boggan
Hot on the heels of Verizon’s shared data announcement last month, AT&T revealed it’s very own shared data packages earlier this morning. The plans themselves mirror what Verizon’s looked like with a small catch. AT&T’s packages don’t have as many options, but the bigger data bucket you go with, the cheaper the access charge is. There is now a ten line maximum for the new shared data groups, as opposed to the current max of five. There is also no limit to how many shared data groups an account can hold, and a smartphone line is required to be eligible for the mobile share plans. Current subcribers don’t have to change to the new plans, although some may want to just to save a couple bucks. We’ve got a bevy of screenshots below, so check em out, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
Edit: AT&T Has formally announced that the official start date for the new Mobile Share plans is August 23rd.
