Fear The Walking Dead Debuts New Trailer At Comic Con

During their panel at San Diego Comic Con, AMC dropped the trailer for season 2B of  Fear The Walking Dead. In it, we see both families have become splintered, and separated into three groups. Strand, Madison, Alicia, and Ophelia are on the road, scavenging for supplies and trying to find Nick. Travis and Chris are off in the desert doing god knows what, and Nick has decided he’d rather walk amongst the dead.

Each group encounters a new and terrifying challenge as they all try to cope with what’s going on in the new world. Nick runs into danger while out on the road and seemingly will run into another group who also knows the secret of walker camouflage. Madison, Strand, and Alicia come across a deserted hotel (or so they think), that seems to have been fortified recently. Travis works hard at restoring the broken relationship between himself and Chris, while Chris slips further into madness. We were also introduced to a new character who will play a huge role in Nick’s storyline very soon.

This season takes place mostly in Tijuana, Mexico where the infected are no longer the biggest threat to the group’s survival. There are now trained mercenaries, along with gangs, and a new religious sect who are all aiming to simply survive in the new world. Fear The Walking Dead will return on August 23rd, with a 7 episode run that’ll take us right up to the return of The Walking Dead this October. From the looks of the trailer, the action in Season 2B will be ratcheted up to a point never before seen in FTWD. One can only hope that the story continues to be engaging, and the show runners are able to continually to develop the character’s story arcs because this show has some mighty big shoes to fill.
