Marvel Vs Capcom 4 Is Coming In 2017
2 min readMarvel Vs. Capcom is one of the greatest fighting games to date. There’s no debating it, so don’t even try. 2011 was the last time we were graced with a MVC game, and it’s about time a new gets released. According to multiple sources close to the situation, we will indeed see a new Marvel Vs Capcom game in 2017.
Capcom or Marvel haven’t independently confirmed the game’s release just yet, but it will happen soon. Gaming site Polygon says several sources have confirmed to them that the game will most likely be announced as soon as the Playstation Experience event this week.
One of my favorite things about MVC was the ever-expanding roster of fighters to choose from in each subsequent game. I would expect MVC 4 to be no different, while also introducing new faces from both sides into the fight. With the release of next-gen systems, Marvel and Capcom will also benefit from increased graphics capability, allowing them to expand animation capability and add extra fighters thanks to increased storage capacity.
Thanks to the incredible success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I wouldn’t be surprised to see several movie counterparts make their debut in the upcoming game as well. Iron Man, Spiderman, Captain America, Thor, and Doctor Strange could all be making their way into MVC 4. If that’s the case, they should also include some of those movie’s villains in the mix as well. I’d love to pit Akuma against Ronan the Accuser, or pit Thanos against M. Bison. MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!
Either way, as long as the game gets announced, I’ll pretty much accept however they decide to make it. The originals were just so much fun to play, and I would imagine a next-gen edition would be even crazier. I was already looking forward to Playstation Experience, but now I have an even bigger reason to be excited.
